The Blue was unofficially formed in the summer of 2007 . The band consisted of friends Keith Weeks and Ivan Alexander. After spending some time writing and developing ideas for new songs, Guitarist Bart Hatton and Bass Player Mike Lepley joined the band in 2008. They were soon joined by drummer Dave Cress in 2009. The Blue combines many styles of music and consists of very diverse players. Ivan relies more on Alternative rock and pop influences, while Bart showcases his abilities as a great blues player. The metal influences in the band come primarily from Mike, while Keith plays much of the acoustic side of the band.
