As if i dont have enough going on, I've decided to throw some more of my precious time at another community project. but this is one i think most people here can get behind.
It's called the kickstand. It's a Non-Profit Organization that will be providing free/inexpensive bike repair and maintenance to anyone. This will be located in the warehouse space behind that red building on the corner of depot and main (discount hi fi).
They've dedicated 1/3 of the building for a "venue space" of which will be doing DIY shows (which i'm guessing is the reason they asked me to get involved and get on the board of directors... because i dont actually own a bike).
Anyways, they're working to raise some starting fundage for the project. So they're having a Winter Wonder Ride!

ALSO!
This Thursday, Jan 10, '08 @ 6:30PM is the first real meeting at the new location... Plans for the space and volunteer opportunities will be discussed.
I'll be talking more about the upcoming Kickstand Project in the near future.
