One of my coworkers needs a new audio recording program for important telephone calls. Audacity has been crashing often, and then it becomes impossible to recover the data files.
Could anyone suggest an inexpensive program that's more stable or does a better job of saving files?

Technically speaking I use Audacity with no problems nowadays whereas I start up the system with my USB audio inteface already plugged in.
The guy that invented WINAMP is now attempting to fuck shit up with Reaper
I also like the potential of
MuLab
Personally; I use FLStudio . Best $300 I've ever spent....

Thanks Vid, I'll check those out. Someone on the boards wrote me a PM and suggested it might be a hardware problem (RAM, maybe a soundboard issue). Either way, I'd like to try a combination of new applications and hardware fixes.
Btw, I loved Winamp. Totally forgot about that little program.

If so tell him to revert to the STABLE 1.26 version.

She was using 1.26 on Vista, and then yesterday I upgraded to 1.3something beta. So far no crashes.
Go figure.
