Ok. I recently aquired a 62 vintage pickup. I installed it, and I soldered it correctly and all that crap...
But the copper (?) ground plate that came with it can't be put in, due to the fact that there's not a hole on the bottom of the pickup slot for it to be inserted into.
It works, but I don't know if I should get it put it. Its grounded, and it works, so I don't know if the plate is neccassary.
Please help. I don't want to blow up my bass.

it won't blow up your bass - just make sure that the ground lead from the pickup goes to a nicely grounded circuit on your bass,
and all should be well.

A lot of guitar pups ground to the bridge. And Marshall won't steer you wrong.

That's what I figured, so I just didn't know if it was an extra precaution, or what.
Thanks for the help guys.
