I'm interested in learning more about the ladies who were playing music in the punk rock scene in the 90s and early 00s.  I've heard of Ovarydose and Mutley Chix, who were in these bands and were there more all-female bands that I don't know about?

It was tough for some of the old-guard all-girl bands around here, because there was no stove or ironing board between the Covered Dish and Common Grounds.

Ha, I hate myself all over again.

List: Two Finger Suicide (my first-ever show, me at 14, all of them not); Dirty Fist (old schoolmates I've not seen play or seen period in a half-decade); Ramona Quimby (I think I saw them once, when I was a fresh and un-jaded urchin); the Philles Records-influenced Christian girl group I svengali'd, the Crucivixens, who are best remembered for hits like "Be My Baby (Oh Father)," "He's A Rebel Nazarene Jew," and "Leader of the Flock."

Nice, ASD. Whatever happened to those two-finger suicide chicks?

 Crucivixens: good name.

Are you not still a fresh and un-jaded urchin? What's up with your music career?
